Week 1 Recaps

Max Power: 1
Ballin Senators: 7

recap from Max:

The pretty potently powerful purple team Max Power, came out strong this Sunday with an amazing turnout of 22 people. Max Power is a conglomeration of former teams - Serial Kickers, Slidin' Dirty, The Tools and many new fresh faces. After a grueling workout regimen (throwing around a 24 inch Chuck E Cheese ball) Max Power was ready for action. Unfortunately Max Power was not even ready for what was to come. With the onset of Genetic manipulation and HGH, scientists have created what is referred to as the Ballin' Senators. As strong as Max Power played they could not stop there brutality. Many were lost in the battle which will force Max Power to play with a smaller lineup this next Sunday. Flight of the Kickballs - BEWARE! Ballin' Senators are not to be taken lightly.
*PLEASE NOTE*
I have attached actual Before and After pictures documenting the battle. WARNING!! These are NOT for the faint of heart!

no recap from the Senators...

------------------------

Kicking Yer Balls: 4
Flight of the Kickballs: 3

No recap from either team.

-----------------------

Kickhopopotamus: 6
Playground Bullies: 4

recap from the Bullies: we lost. typical.

recap from kickhopopotamus: the MVP of this game was oddly awarded 5 hours prior to the start of the game. Team enabler, Mike Coughlin hosted the kickhop-kickoff brunch starting at 10am Sunday morning. Coughlin's spread included no fewer than 6 growlers, 8 cases, 2 30-racks, and a bottle of chambord. There was some delicious food as well, i think. In game props go to self-declared "rookie of the year candidate", matt hutchens, who drove in 2 big runs batting in the clean up spot for his first time ever.

-----------------

Kick in a Box: 9
Surrender Your Booty: 6

Kick in a Box recap:
The game started with a munt. The game continued as Surrender Your Booty raced to a 6-1 lead after 3 innings. Then Kick in a Box decided to take the kicks out of the box and use them. Helped by 4 home runs by Brian "I'm a Virginian" Caldwell, Nick "I suck 'em down like nothin'" Garcia-Tunon, Chris "Preakness" Ciocca, and Drew "I'll let Nick drink it" Murray, KIAB raced to 9-6 intense Opening Day Victory.
Game MVP Honors goes to Chris. Along with a home run...he pulled off the back end of a successful tip drill for a solid out. A rookie no longer.
Bar MVP Honors goes to Nick. He proved he sucks 'em down like nothin'. And I mean he sucks them down like nothin'.

no recap from SYB.
